Healing from the Inside
Looking at what we put in our bodies is one of the first steps toward healing. We have been programmed and set up to eat harmful foods since we were children. These foods have slowly disconnected us from our full potential and blocked energy within the body. It's important, to be honest with yourself and notice the food addictions you have in your daily life. Because these addictions have been engrained in us at an early age, it will take time and much effort to get passed them.
In order to get over these addictions, we must understand how we have developed this habit and why we continue to indulge. Looking at your past childhood experiences and feelings might allow you to uncover the answers to these questions. For example, as a child, I was alone most of the time and I was put in front of the T.V. to pass the time. While I was watching T.V would be the time for me to eat potato chips and ice cream. Every single day after school I would eat these snacks and watch T.V. Some can say it is normal and a phase. Although I can see these habits in my daily life as an adult. Often when I get a craving for ice cream or chips I am sad, anxious, depressed, or stressed. Why was/am I sad? Why was/am I anxious? I was alone and my emotional needs were ignored and not met. I was numbing these feelings since childhood with food unconsciously. Dissecting your eating habits in this way in correlation with your emotions will help bring awareness to your mind and body connection.
There was a time and a place for these habits in the past. We must take these as lessons and not put ourselves down for these experiences. In order to heal and elevate our frequency, we have to let go of these attachments and come back to our natural state of consciousness.
When letting go of meat, fish, vegetables, liquid, or food altogether we can have a noticeable transition period that will affect us on a mind-body and spiritual level. Keep this in mind while you make the changes as your body is detoxing from all it has gone through up to this point. You may feel irritable, tired, hungry, angry, sad, etc. But this does not mean you are doing something wrong. It just means you have to listen to your body and see what is the root problem of these feelings.
Remember to have patience, forgiveness, and love for yourself as you make any changes.
Be kind to yourself and know whatever level you are on is perfect for YOU and your journey.
